The Nevada Health Division is seeking an injunction to stop J&S Enterprises and its president from operating an unlicensed obstetric center.
In a Clark County District Court lawsuit, the Health Division alleged J&S's president, Beverly Dyches, was operating the Birthing Center at 2501 W. Charleston Blvd. without a license from Dec. 14, 1998 through April 12.
The Health Division, which said it tried to work with Dyches for over a year on her application, said it took legal action because she repeatedly failed to submit complete applications within deadline.
"This matter is in the process of being settled and we are close to getting a license," Dyches responded.
