Robert Budreau

Robert Budreau, 68, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born May 29, 1932, in Michigan. A resident for four years, he was a credit manager at Sears.

He is survived by his wife, Joan; one son, Robert; two daughters, Kathleen Pagano and Lisa Smith; and four grandchildren.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Kenneth Cook

Kenneth Cook, 76, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 18, 1923, in Massachusetts. A resident for 20 years, he was a painter and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by five sisters, Janet, Gertrude, Zoe, Jeanne and Marie.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

John Davis

John Davis, 82, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born July 9, 1917, in Blue Springs, Miss. A resident for 39 years, he was a retired water softener salesman, a World War II Army veteran, past department commander of American Legion Post 51 and a member of Eagles 1213 and Moose Lodge 1763.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie R.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Memory Gardens.

Guadalupe Esquivel

Guadalupe Esquivel, 5 days, of North Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born May 3, 2000.

She is survived by her parents, Benito and Anamaria Esquivel, and one sister, Sofia Esquivel, all of North Las Vegas; and her grandparents, Roberto and Consuelo of Las Vegas and Reyes and Carmen of Guadalajara, Mexico.

Iva Ann Farrish

Iva Ann Farrish, 92, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born Dec. 16, 1907, in West Branch, Mich. A resident for 54 years, she was a retired branch office manager for the military.

She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Shuptrine of Las Vegas; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 9 a.m. services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Wayne E. Godfrey

Wayne E. Godfrey, 79, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. He was born March 13, 1921, in Putnam County, Mo. A resident for 19 years, he was a retired jeweler and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Leona; two daughters, Kathryn Benish and Patricia Pazero, all of Chicago; and one sister, Maxine Heinze of Andalusia, Ill.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in the Nathan Adelson Hospice chapel, 4141 S. Swenson St. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Joseph Patrick Guarneri

Joseph Patrick Guarneri, 33, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 17, 1966, in Flint, Mich. A resident for 10 years, he was a bartender at the Fiesta hotel-casino.

He is survived by his father, Joe Guarneri of Las Vegas; his mother, Rose Marie Mohler, and his grandparents, Rose and Kenneth Mohler, all of Flint.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Christ the King Church, 4925 S. Torrey Pines Drive. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Ida O. Hendricks

Ida O. Hendricks, 80, of Boulder City died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 14, 1919, in Minnesota. A resident for 13 years, she was a retired sales manager for an advertising firm and president of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League.

She is survived by her husband, David L.; one daughter, Cheryll Sumpter of Stockton, Calif.; three sons, Douglas Johnson and Lloyd Johnson, both of Glendora, Calif., and Kris Murray of San Dimas, Calif.; one brother, Clarence Koland of Thief River Falls, Minn.; one sister, Betty Maudlin of Boulder City; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-5 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Entombment will follow in Palm Mausoleum, Boulder City.

Velma Jackson

Velma Jackson, 77, of North Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 12, 1923, in Arcadia, La. A resident for 45 years, she was a retired hotel presser.

She is survived by one sister, Lucille Moore of Las Vegas; and one brother, Pleis Carter of Houston.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be noon Saturday in Greater Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church, 1915 Lexington St. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Richard J. Krauthamer

Richard J. Krauthamer, 75, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born June 22, 1924, in Chicago. A resident for seven years, he was a retired Navy lieutenant commander and World War II and Korean War veteran who earned a Purple Heart in Korea. He was a member of the USS Walke Association.

He is survived by his wife, Claire; two daughters, Garee Wells and Renee Silverman, and two sons, Jeffrey Krauthamer and Tracy Krauthamer, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Malcolm Krauthamer of Houston; and eight grandchildren.

A memorial service will be noon Monday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will be 2:15 p.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Ann M. Magueflor

Ann M. Magueflor, 56, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 4, 1943, in Los Angeles. A resident for four years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Noel; two sons, Joseph Magueflor of Las Vegas and Daniel Magueflor of San Diego; one daughter, Donna Magueflor of Las Vegas; one brother, Sonny Barrios, and one sister, Irene Hobson, both of San Diego; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. A private burial will follow.

Joe 'Freddy' Maestas Sr.

Joe "Freddy" Maestas Sr., 66, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born July 4, 1933, in San Juan Pueblo, N.M. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired cement finisher and a member of Cement Masons Local 797.

He is survived by his wife, Corine; four daughters, Janice Maestas and Theresa Valdez, both of Santa Fe, N.M., and Eloise Chavez and Adelia Pangallo, both of Las Vegas; two sons, Joe Maestas Jr. and Freddy Maestas, both of Las Vegas; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11:15 a.m. Saturday in St. Anne Catholic Church, 1901 S. Maryland Parkway. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Betty Lou Mauldin

Betty Lou Mauldin, 76, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. She was born March 24, 1924, in Kansas City, Mo. A resident for 12 years, she was a retired nurse.

She is survived by three daughters, Marsha Lacey of Eugene, Ore., Mary Jane Mauldin of Bullhead City, Ariz., and Michelle McCormick of Springfield, Ore.; two sons, Albert Mauldin III of Springfield and John Brock Jr. of Las Vegas; one sister, Ginny Cross of Huntington Beach, Calif.; and nine grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in the Nathan Adelson Hospice chapel, 4141 S. Swenson St. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

David E. Miller

David E. Miller, 52, of Henderson died Wednesday in Henderson. He was born Aug. 23, 1947, in Phoenix. A resident for 12 years, he was a plumber, a Vietnam War Army Special Forces veteran and was a member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 525.

He is survived by two daughters, RoseMarie Martinson of Cuddybackville, N.Y., and Mindy Marie Miller of Phoenix; his parents, Elizabeth and Thomas Miller of Henderson; three sisters, Kathryn Anderson and Marilyn Miller, both of Logan, Utah, and Julie Ybarra of Henderson; and four brothers, Kenneth E. Miller of Wyoming, Mich., Phillip D. Miller of Henderson, Bruce E. Miller of Reno and Gary A. Miller of Logan.

Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Alice L. Morgan

Alice L. Morgan, 78, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 3, 1921, in Utah. A resident for 33 years, she was a waitress.

She is survived by one daughter-in-law, Vonna Harper, and one grandson, Robert R. Morgan, both of Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be noon Saturday in the Red Coach Chapel, 4525 N. Rainbow Blvd. Valley Memorial Crematory, 745 W. Sunset Road, No. 16, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

George L. Noonan

George L. Noonan, 76, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born March 1, 1924, in LaSalle, Ill. A resident for 38 years, he was a retired Clark County plumbing inspector and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Madeline Wieder of Henderson; two sons, Timothy Noonan of Schenectady, N.Y., and Sean Noonan of Las Vegas; one sister, Marlene Ashley of Streator, Ill.; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Clarence Leon Olson, 89, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local nursing center. He was born Jan. 16, 1911, in New York. A resident for four years, he was a real estate broker and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Margaret; one daughter, Kathleen Louise Bare of Las Vegas; one sister, Kathleen T. Alleman of Orlando, Fla.; and five grandchildren.

Burial will be in Santa Barbara, Calif. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Jayne Leslie Phillips

Jayne Leslie Phillips, 41, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 9, 1959, in New Jersey. A resident for nine years, she was a senior civil engineer for the Las Vegas Valley Water District, a licensed engineer in Nevada, Arizona and California, a member of the University of Arizona Alumni Club, the National Rifle Association, American Waterworks Association, National Society of Project Engineers and American Society of Civil Engineers.

She is survived by her husband, Gary; her mother, Marjorie Phillips; one brother, Gordon Phillips; and two sisters, Kristin Smoot and Amy Gauthier.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Stephen J. Roche, 56, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born July 1, 1943, in Hartford, Conn. A resident for 35 years, he was a dealer at the Riviera for 23 years.

He is survived by one daughter, Karla J. Nolan of North Las Vegas; one sister, Mavis of Wichita, Kan.; and one grandchild.

Steven Schirmer, 15, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 12, 1985, in Everett, Wash. A resident for one year, he was a ninth grade student at Cheyenne High School.

He is survived by his mother, Shannon Schirmer, two sisters, Christina Schirmer and Dallas Schirmer, one brother, Wyatt Schirmer, his stepfather, Greg DeArmond, one stepbrother, Ryan DeArmond, and one stepsister, Bree DeArmond, all of Las Vegas; and his grandparents, Judy A. Poore of Seattle, and Dennis D. Morgan of Marysville, Wash.

He is survived by his wife, Connie L.; two daughters, Robin Snyder and Dawn Snyder, both of Omaha, Neb.; three sons, Shawn Burress of Omaha, Shane Burress of Honey Creek, Iowa, and Troy Burress of Missouri Valley, Iowa; his parents, Lyle and Esther Snyder of Sun City, Ariz.; and one brother, Alan Snyder of Phoenix; and five grandchildren.

Raymond P. 'Toby' Tobias

Raymond P. "Toby" Tobias, 82, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born July 24, 1917, in Redrock, Okla. A resident for 59 years, he was a retired letter carrier and a World War II Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Billie Jean; three sisters, Irene Doughty of Oroville, Calif., Clara Mae Schoeppel of Kansas and Nancy Boyer of Springfield, Texas.
