Folk music
The Duquesne University Tamburitzans, an award-wining dance ensemble, will showcase dance and music from Eastern Europe and neighboring cultures at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Community College of Southern Nevada, 3200 E. Registration for the Arts Connection Kamp for Children is Monday through May 20. Submit concepts
Interested choreographers have until July 21 to enter chorographic proposals for the "Holiday Collage 2000," which will be Nov. 30-Dec. 3 at the Reed Whipple Cultural Center. The event features the Las Vegas Youth Ballet Company and is sponsored by the Cultural and Community Affairs Division of the City of Las Vegas Department of Leisure Services and the Las Vegas Civic Ballet Association.
