Unpaid bills alleged in suit against vacation firm

Mirage Resorts Inc.'s Boardwalk Casino Inc., doing business as Holiday Inn Casino Boardwalk, sued a Treasure Island, Fla.-based company marketing vacation packages, alleging it owes $21,249 in unpaid hotel charges and late fees.
In a Clark County District Court suit, Boardwalk said it agreed in 1998 to reserve five of its hotel rooms at special rates for all clients recommended by Florida Travel Network Inc. between Jan. 3, 1999, and Dec. 28, 1999.
But Florida Travel reneged on its agreement to pay Boardwalk for all rooms, taxes, baggage handling, meal coupons and other charges incurred by its clients within 30 days of being billed, the suit alleged.
Florida Travel officials could not be reached for comment.
