Ann B. Bricker
Ann B. Bricker, 83, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local care center. She was born Feb. 24, 1917, in North Star, Mich. A resident for seven months, she was a retired secretary in the retail industry.
She is survived by four sisters, Mildred Benadick and Frances Hatcher, both of Michigan, Bessie Pavlica of Nevada and Lillian Freimark of California.
Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Ward Carithers
Ward Carithers, 86, of Boulder City died Tuesday in a local convalescent hospital. He was born Nov. 19, 1913, in Auburn, Wash. A resident for 14 years, he was a retired geological engineer, a member of Boulder City Masonic Lodge 37, Society of Economic Geologists, Kerak Shrine Temple in Reno and Zelzah Clowns (his clown name was "Moppo"), a 32nd Degree Mason in the York and Scottish Rite Bodies and past and first president of the Western Shrine Clowns Association.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Esther; two daughters, Erin E. Conly of Hawthorne and Laele J. Pepin of Herndon, Va.; two sons, Brent Carithers of Hatillo, Puerto Rico, and Jarel W. Carithers of Henderson; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the Boulder City Masonic Lodge. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the Alzheimer's Disease Association, 3441 W. Sahara Ave., Suite A-8, Las Vegas, NV 89101.
Lucille Chambers
Lucille Chambers, 74, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born June 18, 1925, in Alabama. A resident for 12 years, she was a laundry worker at a cleaners.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary A. Chambers of Las Vegas and Juanita Fuller of Robbins, Ill.; two sons, Wendell Strickland of Lisle, Ill., and Paul D. Fuller of Grand Blanc, Mich.; two sisters, Essie Chambers and Willie Mae Chambers, both of Robbins; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation and services are private. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.
Elva Contreras De Torres
Elva Contreras De Torres, 57, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born June 7, 1942, in Mexico. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by four sons, Lazaro Torres, Jose Torres and Javier Torres, all of Las Vegas, and Jorge Torres of California; three daughters, Adelaida Torres of Mexico and Norma Torres and Sandra Torres, both of Las Vegas; three brothers, Ruben Contreras and Guadalupe Contreras, both of Mexico, and Baltazar Contreras of Las Vegas; three sisters, Evandelina Contreras and Lucia Contreras, both of Mexico, and Maria Contreras of Las Vegas; and 10 grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-8 p.m. today in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Hites Chapel. Burial will be in Mexico.
William C. Fleet Jr.
William C. Fleet Jr., 73, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born April 7, 1927, in Boston. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired restaurant manager.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; one son, Alan W. Bryant; three brothers; one grandchild and four great-grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Elmer 'Pete' Gabriel
Elmer 'Pete' Gabriel, 77, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born May 22, 1922, in Omaha, Neb. A resident for 58 years, he was a retired telephone company maintenance man.
He is survived by one son, Michael Gabriel of Las Vegas; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Milond A. 'Mark' Hall
Milond A. "Mark" Hall, 43, of Las Vegas died April 28 in Las Vegas. He was born July 13, 1956, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a cook.
He is survived by two sons, Derek hall and Milond Hall II, both of Huntington, W.Va.; his father, Ted E. Hall of Louisiana; his mother, Billie F. Parks of Utah; one brother, Dell Ward of Illinois; and one sister, Kathy Hughes of Utah.
American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling private arrangements.
Ruth E. Harding
Ruth E. Harding, 57, of Las Vegas died May 2 in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 22, 1942, in West Virginia. A resident for 16 years, she was a schoolteacher.
She is survived by three daughters, Dawn Harding, Garnette Harding and Monica Mitchell; one sister, Louise Eddings; and four grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. services Friday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
Betty Harmon-Kendrick
Betty Harmon-Kendrick, 51, of North Las Vegas died Sunday. She was born July 26, 1948, in Charleston, W.Va. A resident for seven years, she was a legal secretary.
She is survived by her husband, Larry; one stepson, David Kendrick of North Las Vegas; two stepdaughters, Ticcoya Kendrick of Washington, D.C., and Zipporha Kendrick of Normal, Ill.; her mother, Marie F. Harmon of Orangeburg, S.C.; two brothers, Abraham Harmon Jr. of Wilmington, Del., and Nathaniel Harmon of Elloree, S.C.; and three sisters, Deloris Warren of Greenwood, S.C., Rose Nedd of Columbia, S.C., and Anna Williams of Orangeburg.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Friday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd. Services will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Greater St. Paul Church of God in Christ, 911 N. G St.

Kenneth Lee 'Bill' Hendrix
Kenneth Lee "Bill" Hendrix, 78, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a Reno medical center. He was born Dec. 30, 1921, in Southard, Okla. A resident for five years, he had owned automobile dealerships, was an Army Air Corps veteran and a member of Elks Lodge 1947.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia; one son, David Hendrix of Las Cruces, N.M.; one daughter, Leah Miranda of Blackwell, Okla.; one stepdaughter, Marcia Clanton of Liberal, Kan.; and seven grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Kitch Funeral Home, Liberal, is handling arrangements.

John C. McKiness
John C. McKiness, 49, of Las Vegas died May 4 in a local hospital. He was born April 9, 1951, in Jackson, Miss. A resident for 46 years, he was a dealer.
He is survived by one brother, Wadell McKiness of Las Vegas; and two sisters, Barbara Bennett of Henderson and Martha McGill of Jackson, Mich.
Visitation is scheduled 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Monday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will follow at 1 p.m. Monday in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Marlene Fay Roberts
Marlene Fay Roberts, 62, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 15, 1937, in New York. A resident for 30 years, she was a volunteer at the Nathan Adelson Hospice.
She is survived by one son, Steve Orrico of Billings, Mont.; two daughters, Michele Overly of Las Vegas and Carole Scharf of Flushing, N.Y.; and two grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Friday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Jonelle Scott, 47, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. A resident for 45 years, she was born March 31, 1953, in Washington, D.C.
She is survived by one daughter, Tara L. Blow of Oviedo, Fla.; her father, John W. Scott of Las Vegas; two sisters, Donna Canon of Kingman, Ariz., and Sherrie Jolley of Clark Fork, Idaho; and four grandchildren.
A funeral service will be 6 p.m. Thursday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Herbert V. Weir, 88, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born July 28, 1911, in Herrin, Ill. A resident for nine years, he was a retired bowling alley owner-operator.
He is survived by one daughter, Sharon Koerwitz of Las Vegas; one son, Tom Weir of Salem, Ore.; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Violet R. Wilson
Violet R. Wilson, 85, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 22, 1914, in Millersburg, Ohio. A resident for 39 years, she was a retired receptionist for a chiropractor's office.
She is survived by two daughters, Marydean O'Donnell of Mojave, Calif., and Linda Sheets of Las Vegas; two sons, Woodrow Wilson Jr. of Las Vegas and Gary B. Wilson of North Las Vegas; 13 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
