Lance Burton Inc. of Las Vegas sued an outdoor electronic advertising company, alleging it refused to return a $12,000 payment that was mistakenly made for advertising services.
Lance Burton Inc. is affiliated with the Strip magician by that name performing at the Monte Carlo hotel-casino.
In a Clark County District Court suit, Lance Burton, which said it paid ESCN Inc. $12,000 for advertising services from Dec. 9, 1999, through Jan. 9, and allegedly told ESCN it wouldn't exercise an option to extend the contract for an additional 11 months, said it mistakenly made a $12,000 payment for another month.
ESCN officers couldn't be reached for comment.
