Rain slows Stars’ charge
Wednesday, May 10, 2000 | 10:53 a.m.
About the only thing that can cool off the Las Vegas Stars these days is the weather. Duane Espy's squad (19-9), which has won 10 of its last 12 games, had its PCL game Tuesday night at Tacoma, Wash., postponed because of rain.
The contest was rescheduled for tonight at 6:05 as the first of two seven-inning games. However, weather forecasts call for a 60 percent chance of showers tonight with highs in the mid-50s.
The Stars fly to Salt Lake City Thursday to open a four-game series with the Buzz before returning to Cashman Field on Monday night to start a four-game series with Tacoma.
