Two class action lawsuits filed this week by homeowners joined the backlog of construction defect cases pending in Clark County District Court.
Fourteen Whitney Ranch homeowners are seeking class action status against American West Development Inc., alleging defects in its 1,200-home development in Henderson.
And sixteen Marble Canyon homeowners sued Kaufman and Broad of Nevada Inc., alleging its 78-home development in Summerlin contained defects.
Officials of the homebuilding companies could not be reached for comment on the allegations.
