Sam’s Town bowling tourney begins

Robin Mossontte of Newhall, Calif., and Jeanne Naccarato of Tacoma, Wash., teamed for a pinfall of 3,611 Monday to take the lead in the Professional Women's Bowling Association Track Doubles at Sam's Town. They led Tori Carter of Tustin, Calif., and former Las Vegan Kim Adler of Cocoa, Fla., by 13 pins after eight games.
Wendy Macpherson of Henderson and Tennelle Grjalva of Orange, Calif., were in sixth place while Boulder City's Kim Howerton and Christina Wickey of Lemon Grove, Calif., were 29th.
