Notes: Chris McGovern went 3-for-4 with a homer and two triples, driving in seven RBIs to keep the Gators' hopes alive in the Sunrise Region Tournament. Green Valley will play Eldorado Thursday at 4 p.m. at Burkholder Field.

Notes: After scoring in the top of the eighth, the Sundevils got the game's final out at the plate on a relay throw from Bryan Frank to Jason Gallegos to Garrett Bailey. Eldorado pitcher Chris Hansen struck out 12 batters in a complete-game win, while Charlie Wooten scored the winning run after doubling in the eighth.

Notes: Randy Edwards blasted a pair of two-run homers to lead the Desert Shields into the next round of Sunset Region loser's bracket play. Robbie Richards went 3-for-3 with a pair of stolen bases for the Panthers. Cheyenne will play Cimarron Thursday at 4 p.m. at Durango.

Notes: Roy Ratcliff hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the fifth to break a 3-3 tie and lift the Spartans in Sunset Region action. Jason Ruiz went 3-for-4 and Brian Ashton chipped in three RBIs. Cimarron won without coach Calvin Valvo, who was ejected from the contest in the fifth. Valvo will set out his club's next contest.
