Bonnie Lea Allen

Bonnie Lea Allen, 76, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 26, 1924, in Hagerman, Idaho. A resident for 36 years, she was a retired Clark County School District clerk in the personnel department for 22 years, a member of the Archaeo-Nevada Society, Las Vegas Rock Art Enthusiasts and a charter member of the Natural Science Scholarship Association.

She is survived by three daughters, Jo Moody, Tricia Tofano and Nora Stuart, all of Las Vegas; two sisters, Phyllis Smythe of Lemon Grove, Calif., and Susan Fuller of Imperial Beach, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

Services will be 4:30 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will be private.

The family suggests donations to the University Natural Science Scholarship, The Treasurer of NSSA, 3132 E. Pradera Circle, Las Vegas, NV 89121.

Edna Ball Eubanks

Edna Ball Eubanks, 66, of Las Vegas died May 2 in a local hospital. A homemaker, she was born Feb. 20, 1934, in Louisiana.

She is survived by her husband, Elbert; three sons, Willie Gordan, Fred Eubanks and William Eubanks, and two daughters, Nikesha Eubanks and Joann Johnson, all of Las Vegas; two brothers, Joseph Ball Jr. of Wavely, La., and Henry Ball of Delhi, La.; and two sisters, Katherine Johnson of Epps, La., and Lerelean Stewart of Maywood, Ill.

Visitation is scheduled 1-5 p.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in the Most High Church of God in Christ, 2717 York St., North Las Vegas. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Vicki Newberry Feld

Vicki Newberry Feld, 42, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born April 5, 1958, in England. A resident for 13 years, she was a health care marketing specialist, a member of the Southern Nevada Immunization Coalition and was the quality inspection program manager of the Western Region of Sierra Health Services.

She is survived by her husband, James; her parents, Gene and Jennie Newberry of Stockton, Calif.; and three sisters, Lynn Hope of Stockton, Jeannie Rieger of Atwater, Calif., and Debi Newberry of Williamsburg, Va.

Services were scheduled at 2 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Dalton E. Franklin

Dalton E. Franklin, 78, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born April 14, 1922, in Anson, Texas. A resident for 23 years, he was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by four daughters, Carol Runyen and Sara Williams, both of Las Vegas, Dyan Franklin of Henderson and Carolyn Jackson of Plano, Texas; three sons, Darrell Franklin of Jean, Kevin Franklin of El Paso, Texas, and David Franklin of Las Vegas; one sister, Juanita Chrisenberry of Olympia, Wash.; 20 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

John Calvin Graham

John Calvin Graham, 71, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 23, 1928, in Salisbury, Pa. A resident for two years, he was a fire control technician, a Korean War and Vietnam War Navy veteran, past president, vice president and secretary of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly J.; two sons, Larry Graham of Wilmington, N.C., and David W. Lewis of Vista, Calif.; one daughter, Cathy Shufelt of Euless, Texas; his mother, Norma Weimer Thomas of Somerset, Pa.; one sister, Katherine Maines of Williamson, N.Y.; one brother, Earl Thomas of Somerset, Pa.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 4-6 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Graveside services will be private.

Jess 'Chub' Hammond

Jess 'Chub' Hammond, 65, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born Jan. 22, 1935, in Oklahoma City. A resident for 46 years, he was a casino boxman.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce; three sons, Michael Hammond and Steven Hammond, both of Las Vegas and Leland Hammond of Helena, Mont.; and three grandchildren.

Milton Jackson

Milton Jackson, 84, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 17, 1915, in Louisiana. A resident for 40 years, he was a painter and a veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Leole; three sons, Milton Jackson Jr. of Texas, Alexandra Turner of North Carolina and Billy Turner of Las Vegas; nine daughters, Loubertha Smith, Barbara Beverly, Sharon Jackson, Jacqueline Cleveland, Linda Foster, Brenda Turner, Marteal Turner and Frances Jones, all of Las Vegas, and Sarah Jackson of Monroe, La.; one brother, Albert Jackson of Monroe; two sisters, Emma Montgomery of Monroe and Climmie Smith of Las Vegas; 42 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Hites Chapel. Graveside services will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Nancy LaPorte

Nancy LaPorte, 78, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. She was born Aug. 24, 1921, in Vermont. A resident for 43 years, she was a room reservationist at the Stardust hotel-casino.

She is survived by one son, William Earl.

Esther M. Leeper

Esther M. Leeper, 93, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born Sept. 21, 1906, in Butte, Mont. A resident for 45 years, she was a retired legal secretary.

She is survived by her husband, John A.; two daughters, Karen Smith of Farmington, N.M., and Nancy Deaner of Las Vegas; one brother, Myron LaHood of Portland, Ore.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in St. Anne Catholic Church, 1901 S. Maryland Parkway. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Odis Ray Loudermilk

Odis Ray Loudermilk, 63, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born March 17, 1937, in Oklahoma. A resident for many years, he was a construction welder.

He is survived by one son, Steven Loudermilk of Bethany, Okla.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Oklahoma. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Ella Majors

Ella Majors, 102, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 24, 1898, in Alabama. A resident for six years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three sisters, Cora Brown, Lula Carter and Flora Prevo, all of Alabama; and six great-grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Services will be in Florida. Neptune Society of Nevada, 8570 Del Webb Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Marsha Risher

Marsha Risher, 62, of Boulder City died Thursday in Boulder City. She was born Aug. 14, 1937, in Indiana. A resident for 30 years, she was a certified nurse's assistant.

She is survived by two sons, Mark Risher of Boulder City and Wes Risher of Oregon; two daughters, Carla Altman of Oregon and Anna Osbon of Boulder City; two brothers, Mike Pickett of Oklahoma and Jim Pickett of Indiana; one sister, Mid Monaco of Missouri; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Graveside services were scheduled at 10 a.m. today in Boulder City Cemetery, 501 Adams Blvd. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Eva M. Sawdy

Eva M. Sawdy, 76, of Boulder City died Wednesday in Boulder City. She was born Dec. 22, 1923, in Lincoln, Calif. A resident for 47 years, she was a retired Clark County School District clerk/typist.

She is survived by one son, Gary Sawdy of Boulder City; two daughters, Karen Espinoza of Logandale and Deborah Reid of Boulder City; two sisters, Margaret McDowell of Artois, Calif., and Marion McMillian of Citrus Heights, Calif.; two brothers, Joe Williams of Fullerton, Calif., and John Williams of Carson City; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Michael J. Sharble

Michael J. Sharble, 69, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 7, 1930, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 12 years, he was a casino security officer, a sandwich shop owner and an Army veteran.

He is survived by two sons, Mike, and Robert of Seattle; two sisters, Louise Sharble of Las Vegas and Shirley Mare of Naples, Fla.; and two grandchildren.

Thomas E. Smith

Thomas E. Smith, 48, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born July 16, 1951, in the Town of Moreau, N.Y. A resident for 4 1/2 years, he was an electrician with E&R Electric and a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars 6106 in Queensbury, N.Y.

He is survived by his wife, Lynn P.; two daughters, Stephanie L. Sweenor of Glen Falls, N.Y., and Lori Handlon of Las Vegas; two sons, Tom H. Smith and Matthew LaPan, both of Glen Falls; one sister, Joann Conrad of South Glen Falls; three brothers, John Smith of Northville, N.Y., Jim Smith of Wallingford, Conn., and Joseph Smith of Saratoga, N.Y.; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Barbara A. Stokich

Barbara A. Stokich, 66, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born Feb. 6, 1934, in Forsyth County, Ga. A resident for 32 years, she was a retired state government secretary and a member of Southwest Cancer Clinic Support Group.

She is survived by her husband, Melvin; two sons, Gary S. Stokich of Las Vegas and John P. Stokich of St. George, Utah; her father, Roy S. McGee of Newhall, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. services today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Paul the Apostle Greek Orthodox Church. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Warren R. Walberg

Warren R. Walberg, 68, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 9, 1931, in Minneapolis. A resident for 4 1/2 years, he was a produce and frozen food salesman and a Korean War Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his companion, Rochelle Greenwald of Las Vegas; three daughters, Rogena White of Newcastle, Wash., Andrea Mincey of Renton, Wash., and Mindy Hall of Washington state; one brother, Chester Walberg of Minneapolis; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2:15 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.

Michael Gerald Wienkes

Michael Gerald Wienkes, 36, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born June 30, 1963, in Wisconsin. A resident for several months, he was an area director for a milk production company.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy of Rewey, Wis.

Nikki LouAnn Young

Nikki LouAnn Young, 35 days, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born March 30, 2000, in Las Vegas.

She is survived by her parents, Nick and Stacy Young.
