John Boushy, senior vice president of brand operations and information technology at Harrah's Entertainment Inc., was named to Computerworld magazine's "Premier 100 IT Leaders" list.
The list, released in Computerworld's May 8 issue, recognizes the nation's most influential information technology executives for their leadership and early adoption of powerful new technologies that have a dramatic impact on their companies' future.
Boushy is the first casino executive to ever be named to the Premier 100 list. Last year, the magazine named Harrah's second among the nation's 100 best places to work in information technology.
Harrah's has invested more than $65 million in information technology investments, primarily for its marketing and customer loyalty programs. The Las Vegas company now has 19 million customers in its marketing database.
