FBI links five heists to one man
The FBI in Las Vegas is asking the public for help in finding a bank robber who has struck five times in the last month.
The latest robbery occurred Monday when the Nevada State Bank at 2017 North Nellis Blvd. was robbed about 11 a.m. The robbery was similar to four others in the Las Vegas area that occurred on April 7, 21, 22 and 28.
In each incident, the robber was described as a black male in his 20s with a heavy or muscular build and a bald or shaved head. In each robbery the man approached a teller carrying a black or dark-colored datebook and passed a note demanding cash.
No weapon was displayed during any of the robberies, the FBI said, and no one was hurt.
Anyone with information about the robberies is asked to call the FBI at 385-1281 or Secret Witness at 385-5555. A cash reward may be available to those who provide information leading to an arrest and conviction.
