Suspects sought after man killed on street

Metro Police have determined the identity of the man found fatally shot on a Las Vegas street Sunday, but they are still trying to figure out who killed the man.
A little after 2:30 a.m. residents in a passing car noticed a man lying in the street at the intersection of Lamb Boulevard and Wyoming Avenue and called 911, Sgt. Ken Hefner of the homicide unit said.
The man, whose name has not been released until his family can be notified, was taken to University Medical Center, where he died from a gunshot wound. Police believe he was shot after an argument inside a car he was riding in.
Witnesses told police the man had been in a van that pulled over to the south side of Wyoming, and after a conflict the victim ran from the van, Hefner said. One of the other people in the van shot the victim as he was running away, and the van drove off eastbound on Wyoming.
Police are seeking people with information in the case.
They described the victim as Latin, in his mid-30s to early 40s, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 194 pounds with brown eyes and hair. He had a mustache and chin hair, and three tattoos that include "Andy" over his right breast, "Jasmine" over his left breast and "Vic" on the inside of his lower left leg.
The van is described as a dark blue midsize older model with only front windows. It had cargo-style rear doors and a prominent side body molding containing three grooves.
Two white men were seen in the van, Hefner said. The first is in his 40s, 6 feet 2 inches tall, 250 pounds and was wearing a hat or bandana. The second is in his 30s, short with a thin build and wore his blond hair in a ponytail.
Anyone with information on the victim's activities that night or the whereabouts of the two men is asked to call homicide detectives at 229-3521 or Secret Witness at 385-5555.
