Evelyn Andruzis
Evelyn Andruzis, 74, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 1, 1925, in Newark, N.J. A resident for 26 years, she was a homemaker and a member of Legion of Mary, Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary Meier of Littleton, Colo.; two sons, Tom Pugliese of Roscoe, Ill., and Joe Pugliese of Belleville, N.J.; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-8 p.m. today with a 5 p.m. service in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Leonard W. Blakey
Leonard W. Blakey, 65, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born May 21, 1934, in Causey, N.M. A resident for 45 years, he was a retired state government survey engineer and a Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemary; one daughter, Debby Coston, and one son, Steven Miller, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Mardelle Moreland of Tucumcari, N.M.; one brother, Lloyd Blakey of Rogers, N.M.; and two grandchildren.
Services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Burial followed in Palm Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Clifford Paul Denny
Clifford Paul Denny, 69, of Searchlight died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born July 1, 1930, in Nebraska. A resident for 11 years, he was a foreman in the oil and gas industry, a Marine Corps veteran, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Omaha, Neb., and California and the Dagle Lodge in California.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte L.; three sons, Clifford Denny Jr. and Robert Denny, both of California, and Ronald Denny of Searchlight; two daughters, Rose Madden of Arizona and Becky Denny of Las Vegas; one brother, Paul Vanderfort; 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Harold P. Duffey
Harold P. Duffey, 82, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born July 27, 1917, in Indiana. A resident for four years, he was a factory mechanical engineer, a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the Elks in Tennessee.
He is survived by one son, Mike Duffey of Utah; one daughter, Sue Kreuzer of Las Vegas; one sister, Dorothy Chadwick of California; and four grandchildren.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Louis A. Godino
Louis A. Godino, 84, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. He was born Feb. 2, 1916, in Rockford, Ill. A resident for 42 years, he was a retired memorial estate planning manager and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Doris; two sons, Scott A. Godino and Christopher D. Godino, both of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. services Monday in Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church, 3050 Alta Drive. Graveside services will be private. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Victor Goodman
Victor Goodman, 85, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 1, 1914, in New York City. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired purchasing agent for an aerospace firm.
He is survived by his wife, Mae; three sons, Stephen M. Goodman of Huntington Beach, Calif., Howard Goodman of Agoura Hills, Calif., and David Peter Goodman of Carlsbad, Calif.; and one grandchild.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Jeffrey Lee Hubinger
Jeffrey Lee Hubinger, 45, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. A resident for many years, he was born Aug. 31, 1954, in Michigan.
He is survived by his father, James Hubinger of White Bear Lake, Minn.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Minnesota. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Frank Kindla
Frank Kindla, 60, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born April 4, 1939, in Jackson County, Mo. A resident for seven years, he was a rig repairman for an oil company.
He is survived by many friends.

Eugene O. 'Gene' Lahtinen
Eugene O. 'Gene' Lahtinen, 71, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born March 30, 1928, in Republic, Mich. A resident for 40 years, he retired from Titanium Metals Corp. in 1990 after 28 years as a mag recovery operator. He was a Korean War Army veteran and a member of Steelworkers Local 4856 and SOAR, his retirement organization.
He is survived by his wife, Dottie; six daughters, Jennie Young of Las Vegas and Carrie Paldi, Aina Rodarte, Lea Sexton, Mary Schmidt and Sandra Smith, all of Henderson; two sons, Jack Wicha of Eustis, Fla., and Jack Wilson of Crystal Springs, Mich.; two sisters, Kayo Bayley of Jenson Beach, Fla., and Lourice Lahtinen of Gladstone, Mich.; one brother, Bernard Latinen of Braderton, Fla.; 24 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Highland Hills Baptist Church, 615 College Drive, Henderson. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Elaine Latalla
Elaine Latalla, 70, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 25, 1929, in Chicago. A resident for nine years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Albert; three daughters, Jennifer McNeela, Donna Franzen and JoAnn Anderson, all of Crystal Lake, Ill.; one son, Richard Latalla of Lake Zurich, Ill.; and six grandchildren.
A memorial service was scheduled at 10 a.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Thomas Oliver Sr.
Thomas Oliver Sr., 92, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in North Las Vegas. He was born May 17, 1907, in Redbank, Texas. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired laborer.
He is survived by five daughters, Mamie McLemore, Pal Lee Childress, Joyce Washington and Martha Marks, all of Las Vegas, and Bethel Davis of Texarkana, Texas; five sons, Henry Oliver and Leo Oliver, both of Los Angeles, and Thomas Oliver Jr., Mack Oliver and Marshall C. Oliver, all of North Las Vegas; 59 grandchildren, 143 great-grandchildren and 34 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 6 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, 1240 W. Adams Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.
Raymond J. Ortega
Raymond J. Ortega, 51, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 7, 1948, in Santa Barbara, Calif. A resident for 12 years, he was a mason in the construction industry.
He is survived by his wife, Sally; three daughters, Rachel Ortega of Las Vegas and Raelein Ortega and Rima Ortega, both of California; two sons, Raymond Ortega Jr. and Bobby Ortega, both of Las Vegas; four brothers, Silver Ortega and Frank Ortega, both of Las Vegas, and Jack Ortega and Timothy Ortega, both of California; three sisters, Sylvia Ortega and Debbie Ortega, both of Las Vegas, and Darlene Jean Ortega of California; and 10 grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the Cornerstone Christian Fellowship, 5825 W. Eldora St. Burial will be private. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.
Areonna Tajai Padilla-Johnson
Areonna Tajai Padilla-Johnson, 7 1/2 months, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born July 31, 1999, in Las Vegas.
She is survived by her mother, Christina Padilla, her father, Ryan Johnson, one sister, Tierra Vinson, and her grandparents, Robert and Sarah Johnson, Erica M. Brown and Victor Padilla, all of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 9-11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Gailen A. Whitney
Gailen A. Whitney, 77, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born April 8, 1922, in Bloomfield, Neb. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired employee of the state of Nevada.
He is survived by his wife, Violet; one son, Lee Whitney of San Diego; one daughter, Rhonda Kiserow of Las Vegas; one brother, Gerald Whitney of Bloomfield; one sister, Ethel Schomberg of Jacksonville, Fla.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
Teri Diane Williams
Teri Diane Williams, 36, of Las Vegas died March 23 in a local hospital. She was born July 3, 1963, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, she was a medical assistant.
She is survived by one son, Dominique W. Williams; her companion, Bobby Banks of Las Vegas; her mother, Mary Williams; her father, Curley Joe Asberry; four brothers, Eddie D. Williams, Cleophis Williams, Anthony L. Williams and Antonio R. Asberry, and one sister, Ashley D. Turner, all of Las Vegas.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in New Light Baptist Church, 1165 Lawry. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Herbert M. Zimmerman
Herbert M. Zimmerman, 85, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 8, 1915, in Kansas City, Mo. A resident for 22 years, he was a retired hotel owner-operator and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra.
Services will be 3 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
