Letter: Wynn, Goodman should team up

I wish the MGM lion could throw Steve Wynn a bone for the rights to the "Wizard of Oz." And unlike the Tin Man, Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman is a man with a real heart full of desires.
However, his shortfall is money. Both men have an undisputed appetite for action. Wynn, awash in money, should step into Oscar's dreamland, buy the old Union Pacific railyard and call it "The Arena of Oz."
With Las Vegans already overburdened with higher property taxes than many others, I suggest both men join their brains and power to come up with a plan to rehab downtown, pave a new yellow road and bring the tax rolls of Las Vegans down to par with the rest of the country.
