Letter: Corporations not good for casinos
Thursday, March 30, 2000 | 9:30 a.m.
Their cost-accounting mentality is not suited to the gambling industry. True, a person is in business to make money, but one must understand the people you are doing business with. These people will never understand the minds of gamblers.
I think the state of Nevada should buy out all corporation-owned casinos, and run them by the dictates of the Nevada Gaming Commission.
I believe if this was done the gambling industry in this state would be a win-win proposition for all and enjoyment for gambling, which we all had years ago, might come back to Las Vegas.
