The Gaming Manufacturers Association named two casino executives to its board of directors, marking the first time casino operators have had representation on the organization's board.
During the organization's annual meeting, members voted to change the bylaws to give casino operators full voting rights and at least two seats on GAMMA's board of directors. Elected to the board were Gregg Solomon, senior vice president of operations, Mandalay Resort Group, and Bruce Rowe, vice president of slots and research and development for Harrah's Entertainment Inc.
GAMMA is a non-profit association of gaming manufacturers. Its goal is to define and control industry-wide communications standards for gaming equipment.
