Letter: Garcia may be making big leap
Wednesday, March 29, 2000 | 9:25 a.m.
Carlos Garcia, who the School Board has voted to offer the job, seems to have a lot of desirable qualifications for the task.
In making a jump to the rapidly growing school system fraught with so many "growing pains" it brings to mind if he knows what he may be getting into.
I would not like to be party to "breaking" a good man. There are so many pitfalls waiting for solutions and so many obstructions in the way.
Every Tom, Dick and Harry just can't hardly wait to let him know how they want him to act. He may regret coming here long before his contract expires.
Good luck, Carlos. I'll pray for you.
