Dog Run teams up with pet adoption
Wednesday, March 29, 2000 | 9:43 a.m.
If they act Saturday, people thinking of adopting a dog will get a "two-fer" -- a new member of the family and a new place to let him run.
The Clark County Parks and Recreation Department is hosting the grand opening of the Shadow Rock Park Dog Run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is being coupled with a pet adoption sponsored by Media Partners for Pets. More than 40 dogs will be available for adoption.
Shadow Rock, an area of 1.5 acres specifically designed for dogs and their owners to play, train and socialize, is located on East Lake Mead Boulevard -- 2.5 miles east of Nellis Boulevard.
Food, entertainment and prize giveaways will all be part of the fun Saturday.
