Local GOP to gather at Hammargren’s crossing
Tuesday, March 28, 2000 | 10:43 a.m.
The Clark County Republican Party is holding a railroad fund-raiser at former Lt. Gov. Lonnie Hammargren's home on April 15.
The event, from 1 to 5 p.m., will feature the completion of Hammargren's railroad that circles the perimeter of his home.
Hammargren acquired an old mining train 13 years ago and has been building the track around his home near Sandhill and Flamingo roads. He also has a museum of sorts that will display ore cars and other mining equipment.
The cost of the fund-raiser is $25. Call 258-9184.
