Jim Wulfenstein held off a final charge by Bill Hassle to claim victory in the first IMCA Late Model main event of the season Saturday night at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
"I made a couple of early runs this year to get the car ready," Wulfenstein said. "We can make the car a lot faster, but for tonight it was fast enough. It's a great way to start a season."
Jim Perkins added a third consecutive first-place IMCA Modified trophy to his collection while Dan Fitzgerald took second Jason. Pike finished third.
