Henderson-based AgriBioTech Inc. said Friday its outstanding shares are the subject of a mini-tender offer by the New World Liquidity Fund.
AgriBioTech said New World Liquidity is offering to buy up to 1 million shares at 25 cents each.
Agribiotech said its officials "express no opinion regarding the New World offer, and we are remaining neutral with respect to the offer."
The seed company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in late January.
Court-appointed company officer William Brandt said it "remains uncertain, and probably doubtful, whether the proceeds of the company's liquidation will generate any distribution to stockholders."
