Letter: Malone circulars act of cowards with money
Friday, March 24, 2000 | 9:58 a.m.
I am sure that should someone or some organization distribute a circular depicting the ACLU as a "front organization" for casino owners, prostitution organizations or promoters of lewd and lascivious activities (for which Las Vegas is famous), they would be actively seeking retaliation.
I have no opinion on the culpability of Clark County Commissioner Lance Malone (other than my distrust of politicians), as I haven't heard his side of the story, but I do feel that this sort of publicity is purely cowardly and deserves a suitable punishment.
The democratic society that we strive to live under needs to be rid of such activities. Our government should be run by the "people," not by moneyed cowards.
