McDonald to host neighborhood event
Las Vegas City Councilman Michael McDonald will host a neighborhood festival on April 1 to help residents learn more about the 2000 Census and help them fill out forms.
The Community Unity festival will feature food, entertainment and children's activities in the Pennwood/Arville neighborhood.
The Census 2000 bus will be on hand with census representatives. Secretary of State Dean Heller will also be at the festival to meet residents.
The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wing Street between Pennwood Avenue and Silver Dollar Street.
