Assistant city manager cited

Michele Richardson, assistant to the North Las Vegas city manager, has been promoted to assistant city manager of administration.

The salary range for Richardson, who has been in her current position since June, is between $83,720 and $119,600.

In her new job, Richardson will continue overseeing the city's administrative functions, some of which will include the city clerk's office, the human resources department, and the city manager's office support staff.

Tower approved for Pacific Bell

Pacific Bell Mobile Services will soon be erecting a 60-foot tower near Cheyenne Avenue and Pecos Road.

At Wednesday's North Las Vegas Planning Commission meeting, the members granted a special use permit to the company to allow the cellular transmission facility.

According to staff reports, the facility will enhance cellular coverage in the city.
