CARSON CITY -- Leonard Gang, executive director of the state Commission on Judicial Discipline for six years, is retiring Sept. 30.
Gang, who served 2 1/2 years as a district judge in Las Vegas, said Wednesday he doesn't have any plans to continue practicing law.
The 22 applications received for the $105,951 a year job have been narrowed to four. The commission will meet April 10 in Las Vegas to choose Gang's successor.
Gang will be 65 in July and said he will continue to live at Incline Village at Lake Tahoe.
The commission is empowered to discipline errant judges in Nevada.
