Safekey kids walk for diabetes
In recognition of March as diabetes awareness month, students in the city of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department's Safekey program will take part in a diabetes walk from 4-5 p.m. Tuesday at Mountain View Park, 1961 Wigwam Parkway, Henderson.
The 20-minute walk will be preceded by a 45-minute educational program. Call 565-2124.
Spring tea will toast LV debutantes
Les Femmes Douze (The Ladies Twelve) and auxiliary will present its 37th annual Spring Tea 2 p.m. Sunday at R. Guild Gray Elementary School, 2825 S. Torrey Pines Drive. Eligibility standards and requirements for participation in the 37th annual Debutante Cotillion will be discussed. Call 391-0582 for more information.
Luncheon features talk, orchids
The Nevada Garden Clubs Inc., will hold its annual spring meeting and luncheon at 9:30 a.m. March 25 at the Garden Center at Lorenzi Park. Deen Day Smith, president of the National Council of State Garden Clubs, will speak. The meeting will also include gardening tips, club reports and an orchid program. The cost is $3.50; $14 with lunch. Registration begins at 9 a.m. For more information, call 897-2271.
