BASEBALL

Valley 17, Centennial 5: Kaveeh Akbari went 3-for-4 with three doubles and six RBIs to lead the Vikings to a road victory.

Chaparral 16, Clark 0: Chris Hansen went 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles and four RBIs as the Cowboys rolled on the road. Dan Scott tossed a complete-game two-hitter for Chaparral.

Green Valley 9, Palo Verde 4: Billy Schmitt was 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs to help the Gators improve to 4-0 on the season with a road win.

Basic 9, Rancho 1: Brian Lake threw a complete-game one-hitter and struck out seven as the Wolves won on the road. Silas Avery went 2-for-3 with two RBIs for the victors.

SOFTBALL

Rancho 15, Western 4: Kamilah Bywaters went 3-for-4 and Angie Baffa scattered three hits in five innings as the Rams improved to 2-0 on the year.
