Letter: Care for kids after shooting
Sunday, March 12, 2000 | 9 a.m.
My biggest concern now is for the kids to receive long-term counseling for post-traumatic stress disorder. These children, teachers and parents may recover with the tools to identify and the skills to overcome the trauma. As a longtime resident of Clark County I realize that children all over this valley live with drugs, guns and violence. I'm grateful this school district has programs that give children some hope and some healthy choices. We as a citizenry need to step up our involvement with kids at the schools, parks and other places and reach out to the ones who need answers.
