Alfred Charles Avery
Alfred Charles Avery, 52, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 1, 1947, in Beaumont, Texas. A resident for six years, he was a marketing consultant, an Air Force veteran, a member of the Foster Care Association of Nevada and the Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife Janyce; two daughters, Tonja and Amelia; one son, Justin; his mother, Mary L. Johnson of Galveston, Texas; one sister, Renee King of Las Vegas; and two brothers, Frank and Jimmy Avery, both of Galveston.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services are scheduled 11 a.m. Saturday in Harrison-Ross Chapel. Burial will be in Houston.
Dale Edwin Basye Sr
Dale Edwin Basye Sr., 68, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 18, 1932, in Tahoka, Texas. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired public relations manager for an oil company.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Rosalie; and one son, Dale Edwin Basye Jr. of Portland, Ore.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services are scheduled 10 a.m. Sunday in Palm Cemetery, Northwest. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 1900 E. Flamingo Road, Las Vegas, NV 89109.
Peter Bosrock
Peter Bosrock, 83, of Henderson died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 2, 1916, in Michigan. A resident for 10 years, he was a quality control manager.
He is survived by his wife, Violet; two daughters, Janet Bosrock of Oklahoma and Carole Bosrock of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be in Battle Creek, Mich. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson is handling arrangements.

Doris Mae Brown
Doris Mae Brown, 78, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. She was born July 4, 1921, in Texas. A longtime resident, she was a retired beautician.
She is survived by one son, Kevin Brown, and one daughter, Shelia Brown, both of Las Vegas.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services are scheduled 11 a.m. Saturday in Second Baptist Church, 500 W. Madison Ave. Burial will be in Paradise Cemetery.
John M. Casillas
John M. Casillas, 92, of North Las Vegas died March 2 in North Las Vegas. He was born June 24, 1907, in Mexico. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired employee of Reynolds Electric and a 15-year employee of the Nevada Test Site.
He is survived by one son, Victor Casillas of North Las Vegas; one daughter, Barbara Aitkins of Las Vegas; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

George L. Collins Jr.
George L. Collins Jr., 77, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. He was born Oct. 15, 1922, in Jacksonville, Fla. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired aircraft graphic illustrator and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby; two sons, George L. Collins of Maplewood, N.J., and Gary L. Collins of Lancaster, Calif.; one daughter, Ina Mae Day of Lakeview Terrace, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchilidren.
A memorial service is scheduled 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Victoria Denton
Victoria Denton, 68, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born April 12, 1931, in Dauphin, Manitoba. A resident for 3 1/2 years, she was a retired registered nurse, a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church Caring Hands, the Lions Club International and the Ukrainian Social Club.
She is survived by her husband, Louis; one son, Greg Denton of Bakersfield, Calif.; one daughter, Valerie Denton of San Francisco; one brother, Nestor Ficzycz, and three sisters, Bette Ficzycz, Anne Schiller and Ada Ficzycz, all of Saskatchewan.
A memorial service was scheduled 9:30 a.m. today in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., handled arrangements.

Seyma Elkin
Seyma Elkin, 62, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 13, 1938, in Russia. A longtime resident, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Samuel L.

Joseph John Fleming
Joseph John Fleming, 80, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 1, 1919, in Brussels, Belgium. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired cost analyst in the aerospace industry and a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth M.; one daughter, Julie Kilduff of San Juan Capistrano, Calif.; one son, Robert Fleming of Manassas, Va.; one sister, Paula Anderson of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Michael Gust
Michael Gust, 51, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 26,1948, in Chicago. A resident for 17 years, he was an owner of Uomo and Detour in the Fashion Show mall and Pal Zileri and Tino Cosma in the Venetian hotel-casino and a member of Congregation of Ner Tamid.
He is survived by his wife, Dee K., one daughter, Alexandra Lynn Gust, and one son, Ethan Benjamin Gust, all of Las Vegas.
Services were scheduled 2 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Sederick J. Jenkins
Sederick J. Jenkins, 41, of Las Vegas died March 2 in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 8, 1958, in Los Angeles. A resident for 14 years, he was a hotel laborer.
He is survived by one daughter, Reola Jenkins of Inglewood, Calif.; his mother and stepfather, Earlean and Ronald Anderson of Las Vegas; his father, Johnnie Jenkins Jr. of Los Angeles; one sister, Monica Smith of Compton, Calif.; and his grandparents, Hessie and William Ross of Las Vegas.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services are scheduled 2 p.m. Saturday in Harrison-Ross Chapel. Burial will be in Eden Vale Cemetery.
Roberta 'Bobbie' Ross Hatten Johnson
Roberta "Bobbie" Ross Hatten Johnson, 62, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born March 16, 1937, in New York. A resident for 10 years, she was a paralegal.
She is survived by two sons, Kyle Thomas Hatten of Baton Rouge, La., and Paul Arthur Johnson of Las Vegas; three brothers, Thomas M. Ross of Monroe, La., John R. Ross of Baton Rouge and Randolph E. Ross of Monroe; and one sister, Veronica Ross Howard of Augusta, Ga.

John Sibley Jones
John Sibley Jones, 93, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born May 15, 1906, in Holden, Utah. A resident for 39 years, he was a retired dock supervisor for Anderson Dairy.
He is survived by his wife, Geneva T.; five sons, Merlin J. Jones, LaVoy T. Jones and Burdett E. Jones, all of Las Vegas, Duane S. Jones of Wellford, S.C. and Ladd M. Jones of Newhall, Calif.; 24 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., one hour prior to 3 p.m. services Saturday in the LDS Wildwood Ward (Meadows Stake) and 11 a.m.-noon Monday in the ward chapel in Holden.
Donnie Lee Medina
Donnie Lee Medina, 36, of Las Vegas died March 1 in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 6, 1963, in Colorado. A resident for eight years, he was a musician.
He is survived by two sons, Donnie Jr. and Free; one daughter, Krystel; his parents, Eugene and Pennie; two brothers, Eugene Jr. and Robbie; and four sisters, Vicki, Diana, Geni and Doreena.

Nicholas J. Rescigno
Nicholas J. Rescigno, 79, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born June 28, 1920, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 22 years, he was a retired sanitation foreman, a World War II Army veteran, a member of the Italian American Club of Las Vegas, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the APWU Local Las Vegas.
He is survived by his wife, Jean; one daughter, Rosann Krausch of Las Vegas; one son, Nicholas Rescigno of New York; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services are scheduled 11 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Vera Reynolds
Vera Reynolds, 84, of Las Vegas died Feb. 24 in a local care center. She was born Nov. 12, 1917, in England. A resident for 40 years, she was a homemaker and a volunteer at the Dialysis Unit at University Medical Center and the Las Vegas Rescue Mission.
She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Reynolds of Las Vegas; two sons, Paul Reynolds of Las Vegas and Ed Reynolds of Dolan Springs, Ariz.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Pastor Elvera E. Ritte
Pastor Elvera E. Ritte, 77, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born July 1, 1922, in Portland, Ore. A resident for 25 years, she was a retired minister.
She is survived by one daughter, Patty McKeever of Redoaks, Texas; one son, Rick Rittel of Phoenix; and five grandchildren.
Graveside services are scheduled 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

She is survived by her parents, Cynthia and Eduardo Rivera of Las Vegas; and her grandparents, Pedro and Guadalupe Rivera of Las Vegas and Salvator and Guadalupe Bernal of Mexico.

Gloria Schroeder
Gloria Schroeder, 53, of Las Vegas died March 3 in a local hospital. She was born June 9, 1946, in Milwaukee, Wis. A resident for 29 years, she was an executive secretary in the mail order industry.
She is survived by one daughter, Michelle Schroeder of Las Vegas; and one sister, Vicki Jansuz of Milwaukee.
Visitation was scheduled one hour prior to 1 p.m. services today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Charles Terzian
Charles Terzian, 78, of Boulder City died Saturday. He was born May 30, 1921, in Chicago. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired special delivery carrier for the Postal Service and a World War II Army veteran and Purple Heart recipient.
He is survived by two stepsons, Fred Gregory of Grayslake, Ill., and John Gregory of West Allis, Wis.
A memorial service is scheduled 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.
Woodrow Wilson Wagner Sr.
Woodrow Wilson Wagner Sr., 80, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born April 19, 1919, in Lake Providence, La. A resident for 50 years, he was a locomotive engineer, a member of the Toastmasters, Boy Scouts, was a past PTA president and a member of the Railroad Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Fireman and Engineers.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene, and four sons, John Wagner, Woodrow Wagner Jr., Ron Wagner and Steve Wagner, all of Las Vegas; four daughters, Linda Johnson of Pleasant Grove, Utah, Marrilyn Haynes of Las Vegas, Shelly Harter of Kingsville, Texas, and Victoria Smart of Preston, Idaho; one brother, Henry Wagner of Washington, Utah; 45 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 6-8 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, and from 11 a.m.-noon Saturday in the West Bonanza LDS Chapel. Services are scheduled 1 p.m. Saturday in the West Bonanza LDS Chapel.

Luey Walker, 95, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 3, 1904, in Minnesota. A resident for 3 1/2 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Will Jordan; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Harry L. Williams
Harry L. Williams, 92, of Boulder City died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born April 30, 1907, in New Philadelphia, Ohio. A resident for 21 years, he was a retired telephone company central office repairman and a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
He is survived by three daughters, Saundra Peckham of Las Vegas, Rita Schwarzer of Buena Park, Calif., and Suzi Williams-Kopanski of Boulder City; two sons, Jerry Williams of Boulder City and Mike Williams of Yorba Linda, Calif.; one sister, Eleanor Sasavich of Massillon, Ohio; 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
