Five LV contractors lose licenses

The Nevada State Contractors' Board has revoked nine contracting licenses from five Las Vegas-based contractors. Licenses revoked this week were held by:

At its Feb. 23 meeting, the board revoked four contracting licenses issued to the Robert V. Jones Corp., and its affiliates the Robert Jones Co., Sun Valley Plumbing and Mechanical and RVJC Electrical.
In revoking the licenses, the board alleged substandard workmanship, willful or deliberate failure to pay, failure to establish financial responsibility and failure to comply with regulations of the board.
The company was also fined $65,000. A company spokesman could not be reached for comment.
