LAS VEGAS - Park rangers at Lake Mead have found the vehicle that ran over a man after he was fatally shot.
The body of Conrad Sandoval, 25, was discovered in the parking lot of an apartment complex at 3:04 a.m. Saturday. A witness told police he heard a crash, then looked out a window in the complex and saw two men pulling Sandoval's body from underneath a green vehicle, which police said belonged to Sandoval.
An autopsy indicated Sandoval was shot numerous times with a small-caliber gun, police Lt. Wayne Petersen said.
Police Sgt. Rocky Alby said the vehicle, a green Ford Taurus, was found Monday by rangers at Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
"It was burned out and it was out in a desert area," Alby said Tuesday.
Alby said a motive in the killing is not known.
