Reno city manager gets a pay raise

Council members on Tuesday approved a $5,400 pay raise for McNeely. They also authorized a potential bonus of $14,040.
With the increase, McNeely's base salary jumps from $135,000 a year to $140,400.
Councilman Dave Rigdon cast the only vote against the pay hike.
Rigdon said the city can't afford to keep giving its top executives and employees pay raises that exceed the inflation rate.
"I understand bringing people up to a level that is equivalent with the area," Rigdon said. "We're there now. I don't understand what the justification is."
