Irene Elizabeth Arkins Avery, 65, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local care center. A retired nurse's aide, she was born Feb. 13, 1935, in Neiga, Ga.
She is survived by one son, Richard L. Gregory of Las Vegas; and one daughter, Karen Gregory of Troy, Ohio.
Visitation was scheduled until 3 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be in Ohio.
Summer Sheree Block
Summer Sheree Block, 23, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 26, 1976, in Nevada. A resident for 20 years, she was a student.
She is survived by one son, Tristram True Block; one daughter, Savannah Teagan Block; her father, Rory Lee Smith; her mother and stepfather, Allese Marcella and Douglas C. Bundy; three brothers, Rory L. Smith II, Douglas C. Bundy II and Colin C. Bundy; one sister, Cherese Kathleen Smith; her ex-husband, Andrew Gregg Block; and her grandparents, Betty J. Mabrey, Earl D. Robertson and Pat B. Betty.
Visitation is scheduled 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. services Thursday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
Valentine Bernard Bormann
Valentine Bernard Bormann, 89, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born May 11, 1910, in Ohio. A resident for several months, he was a plumber and a veteran.
He is survived by two sons, Allen Bormann of Washington state and Patrick Bormann of Pleasanton, Calif.; three daughters, Lenora Anderson of Simi Valley, Calif., Veronica Rojas of Palmdale, Calif., and Mary Ellen Hoffmann of Las Vegas; 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in California. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Ida Alcaria Castanon
Ida Alcaria Castanon, 89, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 18, 1910, in Colorado. A resident for many years, she was a meat packer.
She is survived by one daughter, Dolores Alfonzo of Las Vegas.
Burial will be in Colorado. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Lois Ann Chenevey
Lois Ann Chenevey, 53, of Las Vegas died Feb. 17 in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 2, 1947, in Providence, R.I. A resident for 23 years, she was an employee at Smokers.
She is survived by her fiance, Michael R. Rand, one son, William Pippen, one daughter, Sheila Lively, and her mother, Lucy Patrick, all of Las Vegas; two sisters, Jeanne Patrick-Edgar of Martinez, Calif., and Juanita Reyna of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 1 p.m. services Sunday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Anthony John Devito, 84, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. He was born Sept. 25, 1915, in New York City. A resident for two years, he was a retired apartment building maintenance worker and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by two sons, Tony Devito of Las Vegas and James Devito of Woodbridge, Va.; two brothers, Frank Devito of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Angelo Devito of Mission Viejo, Calif.; one sister, Mary Davidow of New Port Richey, Fla.; and three grandchildren.

William Lloyd Donnelly, 80, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born March 13, 1919, in Canada. a resident for 59 years, he was a railroad engineer.
He is survived by his wife, Constance; two sons, John Donnelly of Alamogordo, N.M., and Mark Donnelly of Las Vegas; one daughter, Kristin Pinketon of Las Vegas; and one brother, James Donnelly of Waverly, Ohio.

Josephine L. Enright, 86, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born July 21, 1913, in Zanesville, Ohio. A resident for 18 months, she was a retired college assistant professor.
She is survived by one daughter, Catherine A. Schafer of Las Vegas; three sons, Michael J. Enright of Washington, D.C., Phillip M. Enright of Columbus, Ohio, and Jerome D. Enright of Dallas; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mary Ann Feldhouse, 46, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born July 28, 1953, in New Haven, Conn. A resident for 21 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Frank; three daughters, Ursula Feldhouse and Priscilla Feldhouse, both of Las Vegas, and Brenda Feldhouse of Henderson; one son, Alick Feldhouse of Las Vegas; one brother, Michael Sadonis of Connecticut; and one grandchild.

Ronald Eugene Huntley, 48, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 24, 1952, in Maryland. A resident for three years, he was a planner and estimator in the construction industry.
He is survived by his parents, Donald and Vonda of Las Vegas; and one brother, Michael Huntley of Lincoln, Calif.

John E. Johnson Jr., 42, of Las Vegas died March 1 in Las Vegas. He was born July 5, 1957, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident he was a welder.
He is survived by one son, Derrick T. Johnson, and one brother, Eddie Johnson, both of Las Vegas.

Vernon Morris Johnson
Vernon Morris Johnson, 81, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local convalescent center. He was born March 15, 1918, in Utah. A resident for 38 years, he was a gaming industry security officer, a retired restaurateur, a truck driver and a Navy veteran.
He is survived by three sons, Steven Ure of Hooper, Utah, and Kirk Johnson and Travis Johnson, both of Las Vegas; two daughters, Julia Robison and Tracy Bell, both of Las Vegas; two brothers, Joel Johnson of Marysville, Utah, and Wallace Johnson of Pleasant Grove, Utah; one sister, Olga Homer of Pleasant Grove; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. March 18 in the El Jen Convalescent Home, 5538 W. Duncan Drive. Burial will be 1 p.m. March 18 in Woodlawn Cemetery. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Layman Henry Lightfoot
Layman Henry Lightfoot, 89, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. He was born Aug. 6, 1910, in Illinois. A resident for one year, he was self-employed in a lumberyard.
He is survived by two daughters, Louise Fackrell and Sharon Wootton; one sister, Irene Frechette; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Olia Lloyd Jr.
Olia Lloyd Jr., 79, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 23, 1920, in Ludlow, Miss. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired laborer who worked at the Nevada Test Site for 24 years, a World War II Army veteran, a member of Laborers Local 872 and was in the male choir at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Nazaree; one daughter, Juanita Lloyd-Riggs, and one son, Charles H. Lloyd, both of Las Vegas; one brother, H.T. Lloyd of Morton, Miss.; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, 1240 W. Adams Ave. Graveside services will follow at 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Michael Francis Maley, 67, of Las Vegas died Feb. 27 in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 8, 1932, in New York. A resident for 29 years, he was an attorney, an Army veteran and a graduate of Syracuse Law School.
He is survived by his wife, Lynne; three sons, Michael Maley, David Maley and Robert Maley; two daughters, Cora and Colleen Maley; two sisters, Patty Maley and Carol Maley; and four grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 12:40 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
George Elmer Mangold
George Elmer Mangold, 81, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born June 21, 1915, in Paxtang, Pa. A resident for 25 years, he was a commercial truck driver and a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Laurice; two daughters, Karen Benjamin and Jean Gregory, both of Las Vegas; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Brandon Nicholas Markewich
Brandon Nicholas Markewich, 19, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 18, 1981, in Colorado Springs, Colo. A resident for 8 1/2 years, he had attended Cimarron Memorial High School.
He is survived by his parents, Dr. Gary and Rosa Markewich of Las Vegas; three brothers, Jeffrey Markewich and Aaron Markewich, both of Las Vegas, and Robert Markewich of Colorado Springs; and his grandparents, Rosa and Frank Foster of Florissant, Colo.

She is survived by two daughters, Karen Stirton of Henderson and Tari Meilleur of Commerce Township, Mich.; one son, Gary Neely of Pittsburg, Mo.; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Carl R.; two daughters, Kathleen Unrath of Columbia, Mo., and Carole Ashley of Las Vegas; one sister, Beatrice Wood of Annadale, Va.

He is survived by two daughters, Sandra Milano and Patricia Sorenson, and one son, Michael Sorensen, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Paul Sorensen of San Marcos, Calif.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Frank V. Spoonamore, 76, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born July 9, 1923, in Covington, Ky. A resident for 28 years, he was a retired Navy chief petty officer and World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War veteran who was a deep sea diver throughout World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Leona I.
