Man hit by car was also shot

An autopsy has revealed that a 25-year-old Las Vegas man who is believed to have been intentionally run over and killed Saturday morning was also shot.
Conrad Sandoval left his house at about 6 p.m. Friday night and was found dead at about 3 a.m. Saturday in an apartment complex parking lot in the 3000 block of South Nellis Boulevard.
Witnesses told Metro Police homicide detectives that a small, green car struck Sandoval and drove him into a tree in the complex, but no witnesses remember hearing gunshots, Lt. Wayne Petersen said.
"We don't know the exact sequence of events that lead to the victim's death," Petersen said. "None of the witnesses reported hearing any shots, but the bullets showed up in the autopsy X-rays."
Petersen would not comment on the number of times Sandoval was shot but did say he was shot multiple times with a small-caliber gun.
Sandoval was covered in blood and detectives could not tell exactly what types of injuries he had suffered at the scene, Petersen said.
Sandoval was last seen by his wife Friday night, when he left in a green 1996 four-door Ford Taurus, license number 573 KBY.
The car has not been recovered, and witnesses told detectives that the car that hit Sandoval was small and green.
"The colors are certainly right, and a Taurus is a small to medium car," Petersen said. "The suspects could still be driving around in it."
Evidence shows that the car drove over a curb, across a sidewalk and accelerated up a small embankment before crashing into the victim and the tree, detectives said.
Two men in the car reportedly got out and pulled the victim's body out from under the vehicle and then drove off.
Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call detectives at 229-3521 or Secret Witness at 385-5555.
