Former official took documents, committee claims

The Clark County Republican Central Committee has filed a lawsuit against a former party official, contending he removed key documents from the GOP office.
The lawsuit contends that Robert Bingham, former chairman of the credentials committee for an upcoming party convention, removed documents related to February precinct meetings.
County GOP Chairman Lonnie Hammargren removed Bingham from office March 3 when he refused to return the documents.
Hammargren said Bingham was concerned about the security of the documents, citing a previous break-in at the county's party office.
