Nominations are being accepted for the Clark County Mother of the Year Awards.
Deadline to submit nominations is April 17. The 30th annual awards ceremony will be 2 p.m. May 7 at the Gold Coast hotel-casino. Awards will be presented in several categories.
To nominate a deserving woman, write a detailed letter listing her accomplishments with regard to her children and family and her achievements in the community and/or her career. Include any obstacles she has faced.
Be sure to include your name, address and phone number, as well as those of the woman being nominated. Send the letter to: Clark County Mother of the Year Awards Committee, 800 S. Valley View Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89107. For information, call Sandy Thompson, 259-4025.
Since 1970 the Clark County Mother of the Year Awards Committee has honored more than 300 women in categories such as Exemplary, Inspirational, Motivational, Community Service, Education, Business and Military.
