Rocky Walls set an International Basketball League season high with 24 rebounds to lead the Las Vegas Silver Bandits to a 99-94 win over the Baltimore BayRunners Sunday night at the Thomas & Mack Center.
The win leaves Las Vegas five games behind St. Louis in the IBL West. Baltimore is one game ahead of Richmond in the battle for the third and final playoff spot in the IBL East.
Las Vegas (25-17) had five players score in double figures, led by Dee Andre Hulett, Harold Ellis and J.R. Henderson, who had 19 points apiece. Isaac Burton finished with 13 points and a game-high eight assists, and Eric Schraeder chipped in with 12 points.
"We had a chance in the last four seconds to tie it," said BayRunners coach Terry Truax. "They were shots I've seen them make before, but not tonight."
Shawnta Rodgers led Baltimore with 16 points. Former Maryland star Rodney Elliot contributed 14 points, and Anthony Tucker and Mark Blount scored 13 points each.
