Three killed in 1-15 rollover in Utah
Monday, March 6, 2000 | 3:18 a.m.
Richard Csornok, 25, of Cleveland; Michelle Pascual-Olfindo, 23, of Las Vegas; and her son, 11-month-old Romel Jacob-Olfindo Jr. were killed in the single-car accident.
The car flipped at around 6:50 a.m. eight miles south of Nephi, rolling three times before coming to rest on the median. The only apparent cause was driver fatigue, according to Utah Highway Patrol trooper Nathan Lindsey.
None of the three were wearing seat belts.
Csornok was driving the car, and items in the car indicate the mother and baby might have been moving to Cleveland from Las Vegas, according to UHP spokesman Chris Kramer. The relationship between Csornok and Pascual-Olfindo is unclear.
