Margaret 'Margo' Broomfield

Margaret "Margo" Broomfield, 80, of Las Vegas and Henderson died Friday in Henderson. She was born Nov. 28, 1919, in Fort Worth, Texas. A resident for nine years, she was a retired retail saleswoman.

She is survived by her husband, Robert L.; one daughter, Barbara Higbee of Henderson; one brother, Nick Pastor of Long Beach, Calif.; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until noon services Tuesday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

The family suggests donations to Home Hospice, 1701 W. Charleston Blvd., Suite 150, Las Vegas, NV 89102.

David A. Burt

David A. Burt, 52, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born May 31, 1947, in Olean, N.Y. A resident for 21 years, he was a retired hotel maintenance worker.

He is survived by his companion, Carlos Grill of Las Vegas; and one sister, Patricia Hochman of Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y.

Private services will be in New York. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Mae H. Claricoates

Mae H. Claricoates, 79, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. She was born June 22, 1920, in Windsor, Calif. A resident for 15 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, George; three sons, James DeLaughter of Salem, Ore., Floyd DeLaughter of Gonzales, La., and Boyd DeLaughter of Hayward, Calif.; one daughter, Carolyn A. Pollard of Santa Rosa, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Mack Dawson

Mack Dawson, 74, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born May 11, 1925, in Tallulah, La. A resident for 38 years, he was a retired construction laborer, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Aldean.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Main. Graveside services will be 8:30 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Kevin Hemphill

Kevin Hemphill, 29, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas Speedway. He was born Sept. 24, 1970, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was an associate administrator for a home health care firm.

He is survived by his mother, Cheryl; two brothers, Jason Hemphill and Todd Morin, both of Las Vegas; and his grandparents, Lucille and Chet McMains of Lebanon, Ore.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.

Cheyenne Destiny Hitt

Cheyenne Destiny Hitt, 19 days, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 14, 2000, in North Las Vegas.

She is survived by her parents, Belinda and Donald Hitt, and one sister, Krystjana Chojnacki, all of Las Vegas; and her grandparents, John and Patti McGoldrick of Las Vegas and Dona Hitt of Ridgecrest, Calif.

A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Christ Lutheran Church, 111 N. Torrey Pines Drive. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Donald W. Larsen

Donald W. Larsen, 49, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local health care center. He was born Feb. 13, 1951, in Staten Island, N.Y. A resident for 15 years, he was a pharmacist, an Army veteran, a member of the Nevada Pharmacists Association and Nevada Society of Hospital Pharmacists.

He is survived by his wife, Andria; and one brother, Howard Larsen of San Jose, Calif.

A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Gary Dean Prestidge II

Gary Dean Prestidge II, 23, of Las Vegas died Friday in Henderson. He was born Feb. 5, 1977, in Needles, Calif. A resident for 15 years, he was an armed transport guard.

He is survived by his father, Gary Dean Prestidge of Las Vegas; his mother, Shala Premack, and one sister, Julie Lee Prestidge, both of Biloxi, Miss.; and his grandmother, Judy Crumrine of Bullhead City, Ariz.

Visitation is scheduled 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. services Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

John B. Squires

John B. Squires, 56, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born April 25, 1943, in Salt Lake City. A resident for 29 years, he was a county district attorney, a member of the Nevada Bar Association and the Utah Bar Association.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy; two daughters, Tami Squires of Portland, Ore., and Michelle Squires of Las Vegas; one son, John David Squires of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Maria Angelica Vining

Maria Angelica Vining, 69, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 2, 1930, in Mexico City. A resident for 29 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Ernest G. Vining of Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., and Joe Vining of Las Vegas; three daughters, Andi Martindale of Henderson and Elizabeth Holbrook and Adelaide Vining, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Alfonso Cardenas de Huerta of Monterrey, Mexico; two sisters, Oralia Cardenas de Danes of Guadalajara, Mexico, and Julieta Cardenas de Flores of Monterrey; and 13 grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Tuesday in Central Christian Church, 3415 S. Mojave Road. Burial will follow at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
