Cresenciano Ong Aranas Sr.
Cresenciano Ong Aranas Sr., 91, of Las Vegas died Saturday in the Philippines. He was born Dec. 11, 1908, in the Philippines. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired mayor.
He is survived by one daughter, Lucita Maningo of Las Vegas; six sons, Romeo Aranas, Cresenciano Aranas Jr. and Joselito Aranas, all of Las Vegas, Rolando Aranas of Chicago, Wilbert Aranas of Flint, Mich., and Rogelio Aranas of New Jersey; three sisters, Corazon Chan of Las Vegas, Taciana Belarmino of the Philippines and Diega Alabastro of California; 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 1 p.m. Monday in Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church, 3050 Alta Drive. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Alan Curtis Berenbaum
Alan Curtis Berenbaum, 47, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 13, 1952, in Philadelphia. A resident for 27 years, he was a telemarketer and a Vietnam War Army veteran.
He is survived by two brothers, David Berenbaum of Auburn, Wash., and Joseph Berenbaum of Las Vegas; three sisters, Linda Melotte and Lisa Albrecht, both of Salem, Ore., and Debra Larsen of Las Vegas.

Mary L. Bond
Mary L. Bond, 83, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 12, 1916, in Peru, Kan. A resident for 50 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Jimmy Sue Bond-Scherrer, and one son, Jimmy Kelley, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Charles Evans of Peru; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is scheduled 1 p.m. Saturday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.
Hubert E. 'Hub' Bontrager
Hubert E. "Hub" Bontrager, 79, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born March 12, 1921, in Elkhart, Ind. A resident for nine years, he was a superintendent of road construction.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth E.; one daughter, Sue K. Callahan of New Mexico; one son, Hubert E. Bontrager II of Las Vegas; one brother, Fred W. Bontrager Jr., and one sister, Helen Bennett, both of Indiana; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Monday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Jasmine Brizuela, 21, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born March 3, 1979, in El Salvador. A resident for nine months, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one aunt, Ana Gladys Marin of California.

Raymond O. Castro Sr.
Raymond O. Castro Sr., 65, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born March 5, 1935, in Los Angeles. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired diesel mechanic and worked for the Las Vegas Review-Journal for eight years and was a Korean War Marine Corps veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Delfina; two daughters, Debbie Castillo of Granada Hills, Calif., and Elaine Castro of Las Vegas; two sons, Raymond O. Castro Jr. of Henderson and Lawrence M. Castro of Northridge, Calif.; two sisters; two brothers; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Jones. Graveside services will follow at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Helen M. Davis, 83, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. She was born Sept. 5, 1916, in St. Paul, Minn. A resident for 44 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Richard Davis of Las Vegas; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Rita Handford, 84, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 27, 1915, in New Jersey. A resident for 25 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Joanna Modglin of Las Vegas; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be 9 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Paul Richard Haskell, 49, of Henderson died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 2, 1950, in Indianapolis. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired Air Force tech sergeant.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer; one son, Paul Richard Haskell Jr., and one daughter, Jessica Ogburn, both of Henderson; his father, Paul Raymond Haskell of Virginia Beach, Va.; and two sisters, Debra Nixon of North Carolina and Shawn Haskell-Henry of Virginia.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Richard James Keena Jr.
Richard James Keena Jr., 53, of Pahrump died Tuesday in Pahrump. He was born May 21, 1947, in South Dakota. A resident for six years, he was an engineering supervisor at Harrah's hotel-casino.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca; four daughters, Tammy Keena of San Diego and Tennille Keena, Miranda Keena and Rikki Keena, all of South Dakota; three stepchildren, Robert Lobato of Eugene, Ore., and Bill Brewer and Kelly Corrow, both of Las Vegas; his parents, June and Richard Keena Sr. of Las Vegas; three brothers, Tom Keena of Tucson, Ariz., Pat Keena of Lake Tahoe and Bill Keena of Las Vegas; two sisters, Mary Robinson and LuAnn O'Dwyer, both of Las Vegas.
Services were scheduled at 1 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial followed in Memory Gardens.

Stacy Lee McLemore, 36, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born July 7, 1963, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a laborer.
He is survived by his wife, Allison; four daughters, Latoya, Lakeia, Shatovia and Asha, two stepchildren, Ashton Bosley and Kevin Bosley, and his mother, Lillian McLemore, three brothers, Lanny McLemore, Michael McLemore and Brian McLemore, and three sisters, Rachelle Jackson, Lynn Rainey and Marcia McLemore, all of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Friday in Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, 1240 W. Adams Ave. Services will be noon Saturday in Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.
David John Neeson
David John Neeson, 77, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 18, 1922, in New York. A resident for 11 years, he was a retail salesman and a Marine Corps veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth; two sons, Thomas and David; one sister, Aileen Cooney; and four grandchildren.

Roger Nieland, 65, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 28, 1934. A longtime resident, he was an Army veteran.

Ruth M. Permann
Ruth M. Permann, 75, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 18, 1924, in Potosi, Mo. A resident for 8 1/2 years, she was a homemaker and taught Sunday school for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Robert R.; four sons, Johnnye L. Brewer of Anchorage, Alaska, Robert E. Brewer of Renton, Wash., Glennon P. Brewer of Redmond, Wash., and Jim R. Permann of Issaquah, Wash.; two daughters, Beledia E. Jacobson of Klamath Falls, Ore., and Donna M. Thacker of Marysville, Wash.; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Edward K. Raschke, 78, of Logandale died Wednesday in Logandale. He was born April 25, 1922, in Cleveland. A former Las Vegas resident, he was a pilot for EG&G for 27 years and a World War II and Korean War Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Laura; two sons, Kenneth Raschke of Tracy, Calif., and Bill Herrmann of Las Vegas; two daughters, Dianna Marshall of Carson City and Linda Strong of Bonnie Lake, Wash.; two stepdaughters, Tammy Huerta of Logandale and Teresa Byers of Overton; one stepson, Timothy Wheat of Overton; one brother, Dean V. Raschke of Rio Rancho, N.M.; one sister, Arland Lockhart of North Las Vegas; 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Manuel Z. Rosario, 75, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 15, 1925, in the Philippines. A resident for two years, he was a retired physician, president of the Indiana Philippine Medical Association, assistant director of Gary Model City, treasurer and board member of the Philippine Medical Association of Chicago and member of the Philippine Professionals Association.
He is survived by his wife, Fidela; four sons, Elmer Rosario of Springfield, Va., Glen Rosario and Neil Rosario, both of Chicago, and John Rosario of Woodridge, Ill.; one daughter, Shereen Rosario of Normal, Ill.; and two grandchildren. Anna Walker Scalia, 83, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born Aug. 19, 1916, in New York. A resident for many years, she was a homemaker and worked for Best Western hotels and a bakery.
She is survived by one son, Bob Scalia of Wilmington, N.C.; one sister, Elizabeth Walker of North Tonawanda, N.Y.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Richard J. Sevigny, 56, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 6, 1943, in Willimantic, Conn. A resident for six years, he was a retired industrial electrician for an aircraft firm, a Vietnam War Air Force veteran and a member of Elks Lodge 1311.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; one daughter, Kimberly Sevigny of Las Vegas; two sisters, Irene Elliott of Vernon, Conn., and Ann Sevigny of Chaplin, Conn.; and three brothers, William Riopel of Lebanon, Conn., Walter Riopel of Chaplin, and Eloi Sevigny of East Hartford, Conn.

He is survived by his wife, Norma; three daughters, Tami Parker of Hillsborough, Calif., Robin Moore of Las Vegas and Sue Ladd of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one son, Daniel J. Silva of San Francisco; two brothers, David Silva of Sacramento and Ben Silva of San Leandro, Calif.; one sister, Marguerite Valentine of San Leandro; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his fiancee, Kathleen Brant, and one son, Joseph S. Walter, both of Las Vegas; two daughters, Jennifer Walter and Julie Walter, both of Hays, Kan.; and his stepmother, Martha V. Walter of Baltimore.
