UNLV punter Ray Cheetany was named a preseason first-team All-American by Street & Smith's college football magazine.
Cheetany, who averaged 45.4 yards per punt on 65 attempts last season as a junior, is the only player from the Mountain West Conference to be selected to Street & Smith's first or second teams.
Cheetany enters his senior year with the Rebels as the highest ranked punting prospect in the nation by the National Football Scouting Inc., one of two combine services that provide analysis to NFL teams.
