Oxygen visits
The "Oxygen Tank" a specially designed motor home outfitted with a portable television and online production studio, will be at the Meadows mall, 4300 Meadows Lane, Friday from 10-9 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m.-7 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Displays, computer station, massage therapists, live music and clowns will be featured, and visitors are welcome to provide feedback and input into Oxygen Media's television and online programming. Perspectives
Dr. Robert Silverman, interim president of the Community College of Southern Nevada, will host "Ideas in the Air," a forum that delivers ideas and perspectives to a changing Nevada lifestyle, at 7 p.m. Mondays on KNPR 89.5-FM radio.
Jazz sessions
Applications are now available for CCSN's third annual Summer Jazz Combo Camp. Training sessions are open to instrumentalists and vocalists of all ages and skill levels. Cost is $129. Call 651-4006.
Art exhibits
"Apron Strings: Ties to the Past," featuring nearly 100 vintage and contemporary aprons dating from the late 1800s, is on exhibit through Aug. 13 at the Clark County Museum, 1830 S. Boulder Highway. Interested choreographers have until July 21 to enter chorographic proposals for the "Holiday Collage 2000," Nov. 30-Dec. 3 at the Reed Whipple Cultural Center. The event features the Las Vegas Youth Ballet Company and is sponsored by Las Vegas' Cultural and Community Affairs Division and the Las Vegas Civic Ballet Association.
