ATLANTIC CITY -- Three people died and 14 were injured when a van on a casino trip from Philadelphia collided with a minivan at an intersection here, police said.
The accident happened around 7:45 p.m. Friday at the corner of South Carolina and Arctic avenues.
Patrolman Greg Rundle said the 16 people in the commercial Ford van were on a trip from Philadelphia to a casino.
Rundle said the county medical examiner would begin today to positively identify the victims, who were from Philadelphia.
Charges were pending against the driver of the minivan, a 17-year-old Brigantine girl, Rundle said. She was admitted to the Atlantic City Medical Center.
