Henderson Planning Commissioner Kenneth Lamb served at his final planning meeting Thursday night.
Lamb, an Arizona native, turned in his resignation two weeks ago, saying he is moving to Utah.
"His experience as a professional land appraiser has given us all a unique perspective," commission Chairman George Bochanis said. "His calm, level-headed approach, as you've seen here tonight, has been a (model) to us all."
Lamb has served on the commission since 1998.
"This has been a good experience," Lamb said at the close of Thursday night's meeting.
It is not yet known when a replacement will be appointed.
