Perhaps it's time for the state to take over the operation of these nursing homes. After all, the taxpayer is going to foot the bill in the end anyway.
Let's go ahead and take over the operation -- at least we won't be looking at $5.5 million claims for so-called services that were or were not owed.
I can't conceive of any outfit letting bills get so far behind. Perhaps the governor can straighten out this mess. He sure couldn't make matters any worse.
