Las Vegan Lewis Weiland's tournament total 3-over-par 147 was good enough to make him the winner of the Southern Nevada Golf Association Championship in the championship division.
Weiland's final round 74 Sunday at Laughlin's Mojave Resort Country Club put him two strokes ahead of Russell Nygard and Kelly Knievel, whose two-day scores totaled 149. Nygard carded a 69 and 80 while Knievel shot a 74 and 75.
Blane Midkiff finished first in the net division at 13-under-par 131. Midkiff fired scorching scores of 63 and 68. Butch Avant's final round 63 was one stroke short of tying Midkiff for the lead and good for second place.
In the senior division, Jim Saub was first at 3-over-par 147 and Mark Morrow finished three strokes back of Saub.
