The winner, who requested that his name not be made public, hit the winning symbols on the Wheel of Fortune progressive slot machine over the weekend.
Curt Follmer, Rainbow's general manager, said he could not release information about how long the Texan had played or how much money he had spent before the winning pull Saturday.
The jackpot is the largest ever paid on a Dollar Wheel of Fortune slot machine, one of several progressive jackpot-type slots offered at casinos statewide. Part of each coin played in these machines is applied toward a statewide jackpot.
The winner will be paid in annual installments of $493,336 for the next 20 years.
