Acting Police Chief Russ Brooks said the applicants have been ranked based on qualifications and experience. All have been sent city applications, which seek more detailed information on their job histories.
"The application is the defining moment because they have to chronologically list everything they've ever done," Brooks said
Once they are received, employment applications will be reviewed by Books, departing Police Chief Don Phipps and Mayor Ken Tedford.
Top contenders will then be invited for an interview.
